Cream City Brick Installation

This was an site specific installation I did using these absolutely beautiful cream city bricks. The cite was very intriguing to me, as I had to get lost to find this abandoned, graffiti enscribed, milwaukee ruin. I set an alarm for 45 minutes, and tried to work with these brick intuitively and without the weight of critical theory or planning. I thought of it as similar to the way a child might work with blocks. I enjoyed working this way very much, and was finished just in time to document as the sun went down. This piece is about a year old now, I think its about time I go visit and see if this random piece is still standing out there in the middle of nowhere...
